Film director Reginald Hudlin most well known for the films House Party with Kid n Play and Boomerang with Eddie Murphy born in Centreville, Illinois.

In July 2005, Hudlin was hired as President of Entertainment for BET. He is currently writing the Marvel Comics series Black Panther.
