The Heart - The ancients saw the heart as the center of all thought, the house of the will, the deepest and most sacred part of man. Paul is saying that to be saved, a person must place his absolute trust in the finished work of Christ. He mentions the resurrection. However, a resurrection presupposes a death.Only a living Lord can give peace and assurance to the hearts of His people, John 14:27! Only a living Lord can be present with them in the way, Heb. 13:5! Only a living Lord can speak words of comfort, peace and hope! Thank God for our living Lord this morning! IV. V. 11-15 THE ALLEGATIONS OF THE ENEMY.1. The Qualifications For Bearing Fruit - There are only 2. a. V. 2 The Branch Must Be Attached To The Vine - If you are not in the Vine, then there is no way for you to share in the Vine's life. This is all about a vital union between the believer and the Lord Jesus Christ, the True Vine. (Ill.You can be free by faith in Jesus. 5.
