NBA athlete Shane Battier born

NBA athlete Shane Battier born in Birmingham, Michigan. Battier attended Duke University leading the Blue Devils to two Final Fours, in 1999 and 2001 (National Championship). The Blue Devils retired his number 31 jersey.

He began his NBA career with the Memphis Grizzlies as the sixth pick of the first round in the 2001 NBA Draft. He was traded to the Houston Rockets where he currently plays in 2006.
