Singer Otis Williams of the Temptations was born Otis Miles in Texarkana, Texas. Williams is the leader of the Temptations, a group he co-founded in early 1960 as The Elgins, and in which he continues to perform as the sole surviving original member.
Among the groups many hits are: "The Way You Do the Things You Do", "My Girl", "Ain't Too Proud to Beg" and "I Wish It Would Rain" .
