Former heavyweight champion Lennox Lewis born

Lennox Claudius Lewis born in West Ham, London, England to Jamaican parents. Lewis won an Olympic Gold medal in the 1988 games in Seoul . As a professional he first received the World Boxing Championship (WBC) in 1993. For the next 10 years Lewis would succesfully defend his title agains Evander holyfield, Mike tyson and many others before announcing his retirement in 2003. He is currently a boxing commentator on HBO.
