Jazz singer / actress Lena Horne born in Brooklyn, NY. She is most well known for her hit "Stormy Weather." Horne was the first African American performer to sign a long-term contract with a major Hollywood studio, namely Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. She has won 5 Grammy Awards in her illusturous career.
