Grammy Award winning singer Beyonce Knowles born in Houston, Texas. She first rose to fame as the lead singer of the R&B girl group Destiny's Child, the world's best-selling female group of all time.

She made the transition to solo artist releasing her debut solo album, Dangerously in Love, in June 2003.

She is also a succesfull actress with parts in "The Pink Panther" and "Dreamgirls."
