Ahmed Sékou Touré, first president of Guinea born

Ahmed Sékou Touré, an African political leader and president of the Republic of Guinea from 1958 to his death in 1984 was born on this day in 1922. Touré was one of the primary Guinean nationalists involved in the liberation of the country from France.
